Abstract-Study of rivers quality within the basin Lăpuş 2006-2008 In the first part of the article is shown the classification of river quality and types of monitoring used. In the second part there is an overview of the main monitoring activities of the river quality. Further, the water quality is analyzed on control sections where there are specified their main polluting sources. At the end of the analysis carried out, it is emphasized the improvement of water quality in some sections, this being possible due to the closure or reduction of industrial activities in the field of mining and metallurgical industry.
